Icons have different colors
Similar to traffic lights, the color of your dashboard icon light is just as important as its meaning. The lights can also flash to draw your attention to a more serious and time-sensitive issue.
When a Nissan dash warning light illuminates green or blue, it is simply telling you that one of your car's functions is in use or has been activated. No action is required at this time.
When a traffic light is amber, your car is trying to let you know that a less common car safety feature is being used (e.g. wet road stability control), a minor fault has been detected, or a repair may be required. If you are unsure, you should seek the services of a mechanic or dealer as soon as possible.
Orange or Red
If your Nissan dashboard is orange or red, it can be a signal that your vehicle has a problemneeds urgent attention. You MUST call or see your dealer or mechanic immediately.
